Modified C2 or Saxo?
In fact these two citroen models are probably the main to citroens currently for sale with modifications - the citroen saxo was the last generation of citroen small cars that got heavily modified by tons of you uk petrol heads, meaning theres lots of tripped out modified saxo's for sale still now, the C2 is newer and so you may well find less modified c2's for sale because you are probably all still out driving them!

Paperwork. Performance. Person. There are tens of things its worth checking when your going to buy a used car, but we always remember these 3 when we are hunting down modified saxo's or scoping out a c4 with low mileage. You can always rest a little easier if the paperwork is all there and supports what the current owner says, performance - if you drive the car (make sure you have modified cars insurance) and it seems to be running fine thats good, Never buy it if its croaky - unless you know what that is from experience. Person - arguably the most important for us - if you don't like the atmosphere with the buyer then dont buy, good citroen modifiers will always be happy to talk to buyers about their project citroens.

Oh and dont forget to get a modification list! Too many times we have driven off citroen saxo's with custom engines or other cars and found half way up the motorway that it has a nos tank rigged up or the turbo timer wasnt included (that was a one off but still) - Get a COMPLETE list of the modifications to the car, if there isnt one obviously with the car for sale.
After you have purchased a modified citroen what are you going to do? modify it more? switch out the wheels? ohhh the opportunities ;)
